Calgary Plumber, Pipefitter, Welder (3-in-1) Pre-trades Training Program

Trade Winds is thrilled to share that we are offering a Pre-trades Plumber, Pipefitter, Welder (3-in-1) training program for First Nations and Inuit status people in Calgary and Treaty 7 Nations. The program is in partnership with UA Local 496, Community Futures Treaty 7, and Aboriginal Futures.

Our Pipe Trades program provides you with hands-on training and essential skills to start a rewarding career in trades such as plumbing, welding, or steamfitting- pipefitting. Whether you’re installing or maintaining piping systems, joining metal parts through welding, or working with high-pressure steam systems, our program gives you the knowledge and practical experience needed to succeed. During the program you will spend time learning theory and hands-on experience in all three trades.

This program will run from January 11, 2027 to May 7, 2027.

Eligibility:

• First Nations Status and Inuit Status
• Residing in and around Calgary or one of the Treaty 7 Nations
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Minimum grade 9
• Ready, willing, and able to work in the pipe trades
