Second Year Boilermaker

January 2017

Zachary Auger

Before Trade Winds to Success, I worked construction and felt like I was going nowhere as a labourer. I felt I needed something more for myself and for my family. I joined Trade Winds to Success because of the opportunity to get my foot in the door with passing the Alberta Industry and Training entrance exam for the Boilermaker trade. I found that in succeeding in those steps that I unlocked so much more potential within myself. I found that I could achieve greatness and become a positive role model.

Travelling and being away far from home is a challenge, and not being able to attend certain events and functions. But that’s part of the business. You make certain sacrifices for a better life for you and your family, especially because the big money is made away from home.

I would tell friends and family or anyone that is interested in Trade Winds to Success that “You have everything to gain and nothing to lose, so why not give it your best try.” Also, “If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.”
