Program Flow

Info sessions are held bi-weekly in Edmonton and Calgary at Employment Centres or Trade Winds to Success offices. After the session the clients are referred to ASET holders for a referral letter.

Career Training includes:

  • Carpenter

  • Ironworker
  • Millwright
  • Plumber
  • Steam/Pipefitter
  • Welder

Trade Orientation Process - 2 Weeks

Informed career decision making, employment preparation & job maintenance. Those selected, continue to proceed. Those not continuing are reffered back to the employment centers for revised intervention.

Pre-Apprenticeship Training - Phase 3

  • 4 Weeks – Academic upgrading to write the Apprenticeship Entrance Exam Level 4 or 5
  • 8 Weeks – Union Training Centres – theory, hand tools, shop training and safety tickets

APPRENTICESHIP & EMPLOYMENT

Evaluation Stage - Follow Up Period

30 day, 60 day, 90 day, 6 month, and 1 year.
