Trade Winds To Success

This 16 week Aboriginal pre-apprenticeship training program will provide the skills and knowledge to start a career in the following trades.

Boilermaker, Carpenter, Electrician, Ironworker, Millwright, Plumber,
Steam/Pipe fitter, or Welder.

The program consists of three stages: Stage one: Two weeks, Trades Orientation – the object is to ensure the student has made an informed career choice.

Stage Two: 4 weeks, Upgrading – the object is to ensure competencies to pass the Alberta Industry Trade Exam

Stage Three: 8-10 weeks, Shop training – the object is to learn basic hands on skills needed by the apprentice including safety and tool usage.
