This sixteen week program begins with a two week Trade Orientation. This involves career decision making, testing, employment preparation, job maintenance and tours. Participants will visit training sites, shops and local education facilities to understand what is involved in each of these trades and to make an informed career decision.

Clients then move onto the Pre-Apprenticeship Training.

Academic Upgrading 4 weeks.

Write the Alberta Industry and Training Entrance Exam.

Progress to 8-10 weeks of union shop theory and hand tools training with safety tickets – With the exception of Boilermakers and Insulators which is 2 weeks.

Employment with the union or your own employer of choice

Mentorship program.
