About Trade Winds

Trade Winds to Success Training Society began in 2005 as a partnership between Union Training Trust Funds and the Indigenous community, with the goal of increasing the number of Indigenous people training and apprenticing in construction trades.

Since 2005, more than 2,300 Trade Winds clients have participated in pre-apprenticeship training in the Boilermaker, Carpenter, Construction Craft Worker, Electrician, Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), Ironworker, Plumber, Steamfitter-Pipefitter and Welder trades.

“Trade Winds supplies prepared workers with the
right attitude. They have the right attitude from day one.”

— Dave Rosewarn - Branch Manager - Calgary, Harris Rebar
